TALLADEGA, Ala. – Officials from Talladega Superspeedway and Barber Motorsports Park are preparing for the green flag to wave on the fourth annual Alabama Speedweek, April 24 – May 3. Speedweek begins with the Aaron’s Dream Weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, April 24 – 26 and ends with Barber Motorsports Park hosting the Honda Superbike Classic, May 1 – 3.

“Alabama Speedweek is a great boon for Talladega Superspeedway, Barber Motorsports Park and the state of Alabama,” said Talladega Superspeedway President Rick Humphrey. “Race fans can experience the excitement of two of the nation’s premier tracks during the weekends and enjoy many of Alabama’s entertainment options during the week. Additionally, the Speedweek Combo Pass makes this a phenomenal value for anyone seeking a weeklong vacation.”

The Speedweek Combo Pass allows race fans to enjoy six days of world-class racing at both Barber Motorsports Park and Talladega Superspeedway for only $100. This extraordinary value includes a three-day pass to the Aaron’s Dream Weekend, featuring the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and ARCA RE/MAX Series and three-day pass to the Honda Superbike Classic at Barber Motorsports Park, featuring the AMA Pro Racing Superbike Championship Series.

“Alabama Speedweek adds to the diversity of attractions our state has to offer,” says Clark Virden of ZOOM Motorsports, the exclusive promoter and management team of the Barber Motorsports Park. “While making their Spring family plans, we encourage visitors, travelers and motorsports fans alike to take advantage of this incredible value we’re offering for both two-wheel and four-wheel events at our unique facilities.”

Race fans can purchase tickets for Alabama Speedweek by calling 1-877-Go2-DEGA or visiting the Talladega Superspeedway website at www.talladegasuperspeedway.com.

In 2009, Talladega Superspeedway proudly celebrates forty years of the most competitive racing in NASCAR. While the track has seen changes made to the cars that circle its high-banks, the surface that they race on and the grandstands that thousands of fans fill twice a year, one constant remains; Talladega Superspeedway is authentic NASCAR racing at its finest.

The world-renowned Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham, Ala. hosts the seventh annual AMA Pro Racing Superbike Championship, May 1 – 3. The Honda Superbike Classic is a Superbike double-header with featuring three races on Saturday and three on Sunday. This premier motorcycle event also features a Kid Zone and a family food court. Children age 15 and younger are admitted free of charge when accompanied by a paid adult, and parking is always free at Barber Motorsports Park.
