• Kyle Busch (third) was the highest finishing Camry in tonight’s rain-shortened Nationwide Series race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. Busch also led a race-high 98 of 170 laps in tonight’s race.
• Toyota drivers Brian Vickers (fourth), Joey Logano (fifth) and Jason Leffler (sixth) also posted top-10 finishes.
• Camry drivers have now led 5,139 laps in NNS competition since entering the series in 2007.
• Camry drivers Scott Speed (11th), Michael McDowell (20th), Burney Lamar (22nd), Scott Lagasse, Jr. (32nd), Michael
Annett (39th) and Donny Lia (43rd) were also in the field.
• Busch maintains the unofficial NNS points lead by 73 points over second place, Carl Edwards.

KYLE BUSCH, No. 18 NOS Energy Drink Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Finishing Position: 3rd

Are you disappointed to have the race end early for rain?

“I was very disappointed that we didn’t get a win and the guys aren’t able to celebrate themselves in victory lane for putting together the fastest car out there, but the NOS Energy Drink Toyota was good – it was fast and circumstances just didn’t hit our way tonight.”

How were you able to come from the back to the front so quickly at the start of the race?

“It was a smooth journey at least. There wasn’t a whole lot of stuff that happened. Typically we see a caution in the first 10 laps here so I was pretty surprised that we didn’t have that, but it was uneventful. I just went to the top when they were on the bottom – went to the bottom when they were on the top and just kind of made my way through there and picked them off one at a time and sometimes two at a time. Tried to pick and choose and wasn’t too worried about racing a few guys. We made it up there pretty smoothly and we had the fastest car and figured we would have won the race. Third place I guess is good and as everybody else would probably say, ‘It’s a good points day.’ I’m not worried about points – I want wins.”

BRIAN VICKERS, No. 32 Dollar General Toyota Camry, Braun Racing
Finishing Position: 4th

Are you disappointed to have the race end early for rain?

“I’m definitely disappointed. We were really strong on the long run. We made some adjustments on the last stop that made it even better on the short run. Kyle (Busch) was really strong to start out with – we were about even in the middle of the run and we were better at the end of the run. I think we had a shot at it – if we didn’t have a shot at the win, we at least had a second. I hate to see it end like this.”

Is it frustrating to come so close to a win?

“It’s pretty frustrating because we’ve come so close so many times to getting the win here at Charlotte. To lose it again like this sucks.”

JOEY LOGANO, No. 20 GameStop Toyota Camry, Joe Gibbs Racing
Finishing Position: 5th

How was your car tonight?

“We ran a lot better than I thought we would today. I think we got up to third. Sometimes we were a third-place car and sometimes we were a fourth-place car. A winning car? No, I don’t think we were a winning car. The 18 (Kyle Busch) and 32 (Brian Vickers) were so much better than everyone tonight.”

What did your car need to compete with the front-runners?

“We just needed a little bit more handling. We didn’t hit the setup dead on, but we were close. After practice, I thought we were going to run 15th tonight, so finishing in the top-five is credit to the all the guys on this GameStop team.”

JASON LEFFLER, No. 38 Great Clips Toyota Camry, Braun Racing
Finishing Position: 6th

How was your race tonight?

“It was pretty good. It took a while for it to get going, and we lost a spot on that restart and ended up sixth, but that’s the way it goes. My car was really, really good. I’m happy for all the guys at Braun Racing and Great Clips for giving me these great cars every week. I keep telling them that we’re going to get a win sooner or later, it just hasn’t happened yet.”

How has your team maintained its consistency?

“Our car was really fast at the end of a run, and so was the 32 (Brian Vickers). Once we get one of these races to finish under green and have a long green run before the finish, I think we’re going to be pretty strong. We’ll get there. All in all, it was a great night to come from 28th to finish sixth.”

SCOTT SPEED, No. 99 Red Bull Toyota Camry, Michael Waltrip Racing
Finishing Position: 11th

MICHAEL MCDOWELL, No. 47 Tom’s Snacks Toyota Camry, JTG-Daugherty Racing
Finishing Position: 20th

BURNEY LAMAR, No. 10 Dollar General Toyota Camry, Braun Racing
Finishing Position: 22nd

SCOTT LAGASSE JR., No. 11 America’s Incredible Pizza Company Toyota Camry, CJM Racing
Finishing Position: 32nd

MICHAEL ANNETT, No. 15 Pilot Travel Centers Toyota Camry, Germain Racing
Finishing Position: 39th

Are you okay following the accident?

“I’m fine – it’s just a shame to tear up a race car that early in the race. We were fast and I would have liked a little more room – especially that early. We were good here early and I’m sure we’ll go on to Dover with another good piece.”

What are the track conditions like right now?

“Tons of grip – it was a joy ride pretty much. We weren’t slipping and sliding at all – we just had tons of grip. That’s why when it did step out it caught me off guard. I’m the one that ran out of talent so I guess I can’t blame anyone but myself.”

DONNY LIA, No. 07 SK Motorsports Toyota Camry, SK Motorsports
Finishing Position: 43rd
