After 18 seasons in the NHL, Patrice Brisebois is done. The long-time Montreal Canadiens defenseman hung up his skates yesterday.
But he apparently is not done competing. He reportedly wants to drive in NASCAR’s Canadian series, according to the Associated Press.
He spent 16 of his years in the NHL with the Canadiens, getting into the top five on the team’s list for games played by a defenseman (896), goals by a defenseman (87), and points by a defenseman (371). And that’s pretty impressive, considering he’s the 11th player to have played 1,000 or more games for Montreal.
