2009 AMP Energy 500 NSCS Starting Lineup

Mother Nature came to Talladega Superspeedway Saturday, and decided to make NASCAR cancel Sprint Cup Series qualifying for Sunday’s AMP Energy 500. The starting positions will be determined by owner points and attempts made, putting Jimmie Johnson on the pole and his Hendrick Motorsports teammate, Mark Martin, on the outside pole.

The Top-10 Starting Positions:

2. Mark Martin – 2009 Owner Points 2nd
3. Jeff Gordon – Owner Points 3rd
