· Braun Racing has moved… The new shop is located at 112 Byers Creek Rd., Mooresville, NC 28117.
· Statistically speaking… What traditional statistics do not show is that Jason Leffler, with one top-five finish to his credit, has flexed his muscle with some very solid runs at Memphis Motorsports Park (MMP). NASCAR’s Loop Data Statistics for MMP prove this fact as Leffler sits in the top-10 in a number of categories including Fastest Laps Run (9th), Green Flag Passes (3rd), Laps in Top-15 (2nd) and Quality Passes (8th). Leffler’s best performance at Memphis came in 2007 when he started fourth and finished fifth.
· Leffler has “trucked” around MMP in the past… In two Camping World Truck Series starts at MMP, Leffler has one pole (2002), one top-five and two top-10 finishes (4th in 2002, 6th in 2003) with eleven laps led.
· Meet Leffler at MMP… Leffler will participate in the NASCAR Nationwide Series autograph session on Friday night from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. CST following the final Nationwide Series practice session. The autograph session is open to all season ticket holders.
The Memphis track certainly suits my driving style. The surface is worn out and bumpy so you have to be pretty aggressive in order to make a pass. There’s quite a bit of beating and banging, which I consider to be a lot of fun. The short tracks have been our strong suit this season so the entire Great Clips team is looking forward to Saturday’s race. We’ve had a bit of a slump here recently so we are looking to get that turned around and bring the No. 38 Camry home with a win!”
