TOLEDO, Ohio (May 19, 2009) – - If you asked Robb Brent what his biggest goal was heading into last Sunday’s Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care he would have easily told you it was finishing a race at the demanding half-mile oval.

Brent conquered that feat on Sunday and did so with a solid ninth place finish in the No. 36 Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dodge Charger. It was the third time this year that Brent had placed the Justin Allgaier Motorsports (JAM) automobile inside the top-10.

The weekend started off positively with Brent posting the 17th fastest lap with a time of 16.784 seconds or 107.245 miles per hour. “Our Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dodge Charger is pretty good,” said Brent. “Bob (Blount, crew chief) and I have some ideas to make the car better.”

The team was looking forward to qualifying but a strong line of showers dampened the half-mile oval which subsequently canceled ARCA qualifying which lined the No. 36 team 18th on the starting grid.

From the drop of the green flag, Brent found his line around Toledo Speedway. A few bangs in the early stages of the event kept Brent on top of his game but climbing in the running order.

Throughout the race, Brent kept his primary goal in-check to complete all 200 laps and finish the race.

During the leader’s first trip to pit road, Brent pitted for four tires and fuel and rejoined the field solidly in the top-15.

The event’s second half would prove to be interesting for Brent. The No. 36 car would be involved in a minor skirmish on the frontstretch. With some damage, Brent brought his machine to pit road where the team repaired the car and returned to competition.

On a mission to get back towards the front, Brent would fight hard and use the string of green-flag racing to make his mark.

Sitting outside the top-10 in the race’s final laps, Brent found himself inside the top-10 on the final green-white-checkered finish when a multi-car incident ensued in turn four on the last lap. Brent emerged from the wreck unscathed to cross the line ninth, his second consecutive top-10 finish in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

“I finally finished a race at Toledo Speedway,” Brent said. “Man, that’s a good feeling. We had a pretty good car and great pit stops today. I’m proud of the Justin Allgaier Motorsports team. We raced our way to the front and were able to bounce back from some misfortune in the second half to still produce a solid finish. We’ll take this momentum and move on to Pocono Raceway, a race that I’m definitely looking forward to.”

Brent added, “the run was also very healthy for our points run. With good finishes, the points will add up and we’ll move up the ladder. When we’ve avoided the mechanical gremlins, we’ve finished inside the top-10. That just tells you how strong this team really is.”

In other team news, Brent received some great relief concerning his sponsor, Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep who will remain a franchisee of Chrysler after the automaker emerges from bankruptcy protection.

“I’m thankful that our sponsor is in good shape with Chrysler,” sounded Brent. “Orchard Chrysler Dodge Jeep has been an instrumental dealership in Michigan for a long time and a lot of people are relieved to know that they will be around for a long time to come.”

Next up for the ARCA RE/MAX Series is the first of two trips to Pocono Raceway for the running of the Pocono ARCA 200 on Saturday, June 6. The event is the seventh of 22 races on the 2009 ARCA schedule.

Prior to joining Justin Allgaier Motorsports, Brent participated in the ARCA RE/MAX Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driving for NASCAR driver Brad Keselowski and Brad Keselowski Racing. In his 22 ARCA starts, Brent has acquired two top-five finishes and eight top-10 efforts. Brent notched his career best qualifying effort of second at Kentucky Speedway last year. He has led the ARCA RE/MAX Series pack twice for 21 laps in 2008. His best finish in the NCWTS occurred at Nashville Superspeedway in his inaugural truck debut where he finished 21st after qualifying 26th.
