Steve Arpin & Lo-N-Bro Enterprises Ready for New Challenges in Upcoming Pocono ARCA 200
Press Release“Solid Run At Toledo Foiled by Late Race Mechanical Woes”
DENVER, N.C. (May 19, 2009) When this past weekend’s ARCA RE/MAX Series action rolled into Toledo, Ohio things were looking good for Steve Arpin in the Taylor Motorsports entry from Eddie Sharp Racing. The talented young Canadian racer made a special appearance Friday night at the Toldeo Mud Hens baseball game along with teammate Justin Loftin and legendary fellow racer Frank Kimmel. The cross promotional event by Arpin and his rival ARCA drivers set the stage for the excitement which would take place on the track in Sunday afternoon’s Menards 200 at Toledo Speedway. When rains washed out Saturday’s qualifying session, the starting lineup was gridded according to owner’s point standings and Arpin would take the green flag from the inside of row six. It didn’t take long for Arpin to race his Toyota Camry up through the field in an attempt to break into the top-five of the running order in the closing laps. Then, with just tens laps remaining the day was cut short with a mechanical problem when the Taylor Motorsports number twenty car lost an axle. Arpin went from running in the sixth position to finishing twenty-first, a disappointment for the entire team, but providing another learning experience as they prepare to move forward to the June 6th ARCA 200 at Pocono Raceway.
Arpin is looking forward to the new challenges that the two and a half mile historic track will provide, with a mixture of high-speed drafting, as well as the unique road course talents that the configuration at Pocono pose for drivers. The team is also proud to announce the unveiling of a brand new, state of the art web site found on the internet at www.stevearpin.net which provides fans and visitors with an encompassing look at all of the racing, marketing and promotional activities involving Steve Arpin Racing.
In addition to his ARCA and superspeedway racing talents, Arpin’s racing expertise led the young gun to 7 World Titles in snowmobile competition as a lead driver for Team Polaris. In addition, Arpin is a former multi-time champion in Open Wheel Modified action, while also displaying his winning talent in USAC Silver Crown and late model completion.
