Being a development driver for Penske Racing definitely has its perks. Current ARCA RE/MAX Series point leader Parker Kligerman can attest to that.

Just when Kligerman was about to board his passenger car after the race at Pocono to drive 150 miles home in time for his senior prom, the Penske organization stepped up with a plane ride home to Westport, Connecticut so he wouldn’t be late for his very important date.

Kligerman, in the next event at Michigan, responded by stepping up in his own way, winning the 200-mile race from one lap down, and gaining the championship point lead as a result.

From Michigan, it was straight home to get ready for finals week. Kligerman finished his last final exam yesterday. On Friday he’ll go through his high school graduation before he boards another plane bound for Mansfield where his next test will be waiting the 18-year-old rookie sensation.
