(Harrisburg, N.C. 7/21/09) Bryan Silas went to Kentucky Speedway looking for redemption after a few weeks of bad luck. Bryan was well on his way to more than redemption, a chance at his first win in the ARCA RE/MAX Series.

Bryan had a good car in the first practice session and jumped up to sixth on the charts in the second session. When qualifying rolled around Bryan was first out and laid down a good lap, he knew that his qualifying position wouldn’t reflect the night he would have and he was right.

Silas moved right up through the field when the green flag dropped. By lap two he had moved into ninth place. Silas pitted early on lap twenty five and the team decided to take the gamble on fuel mileage. It would be close but a chance the team had to take. By the sixth caution Bryan was in third place gaining on the leaders every lap. Bryan drove an amazing race. With the car hooked up, here was his chance at victory. Fate would intervene on lap ninety eight when Bryan’s number 11 machine ran out of fuel. Silas made it back to the pits to get enough fuel to finish the race but he would end up with the twenty second finishing position.

This weekend Bryan heads to Berlin looking to get what is rightfully his, victory. Berlin Raceway in Marne, Michigan has always been a place where Bryan Silas has shown his racing ability. In the 2008 race at Berlin, Silas finished thirteenth, which clearly did not reflect the race that Bryan ran.

This year Bryan heads to Berlin with a fresh outlook and the confidence in himself and his team. Bryan is now sitting sixth in championship standings after last weekend’s race at Kentucky Speedway. “I am really excited about going back to Berlin, it’s where I had my ARCA RE/MAX Series debut and it’s a great memory,” said Silas.

The Wolverine Power Systems 200 will take place this Saturday, July 25th. There will be a pre-race autograph session from 6:15 until 6:45 p.m. at the track. The green flag will drop at 8:30 p.m. and will consist of 200 laps. See live coverage of this week’s race at www.arcanation.com. You can also listen to Bryan communicate live with his team, during the race, by going to www.arcaracing.com, click on more drivers in the drivers photos section, click on the Bryan Silas photo and then click on Live Audio.

Bryan will also appear on the MI-Connection television show Race Review live at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20th, and will re-air Wednesday night at 6:00 p.m. MI-Connection will be broadcasting on cable channel four in Mecklenburg and Iredell counties in North Carolina.

Bryan and Fast Track Racing are proud to announce their involvement in a silent auction that will benefit the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital. The auction will take place at the Wild Horse Saloon in Nashville, TN on July 30th. The benefit is being put on by The NASCAR Camping World Truck Drivers Association. In addition to the auction there will also be race trucks, haulers, and drivers on hand to sign autographs. Tickets are on sale at the Wild Horse Saloon website.

Nason, Yeager, Gerson, White & Lioce P.A., Holland Pump, Oasis Outsourcing, Palm Beach Grading (PBG), and Rockingham Speedway will sponsor Bryan at this weekend’s race.
