Dick Berggren’s Speedway Illustrated To Provide Editorial Support for International Motorsports Industry Show
Press ReleaseINDIANAPOLIS (Aug. 19, 2009) – Officials from the International Motorsports Industry Show (IMIS) announced today that Dick Berggren’s Speedway Illustrated will provide editorial support for the inaugural event Dec. 2-3 at the Indiana Convention Center in downtown Indianapolis.
The two-day IMIS trade show offers individuals and companies from all facets of the racing business the chance to interact, share ideas and products, build relationships and attend seminars to improve motorsports around the world, all while showcasing Indianapolis as the “Racing Capital of the World.”
Dick Berggren’s Speedway Illustrated will produce the show directory for IMIS, as well as publish features about the show in upcoming issues of the magazine.
“The International Motorsports Industry Show is for true racers,” said Chris Paulsen, founder of IMIS. “Anyone who is a real racer reads Dick Berggren’s Speedway Illustrated, so we think this partnership is a great fit for IMIS. They will produce a show directory that is second-to-none and also keep racers around the world informed about the exciting things going on with the IMIS show via their large audience with Speedway Illustrated. We couldn’t be happier to work with them.”
It was announced in late July that two-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart has assumed a partnership role in the International Motorsports Industry Show.
“There are great things going on with the IMIS show and we’re thrilled to be a part of it,” said Karl Fredrickson, editor of Dick Berggren’s Speedway Illustrated. “We’ve got a ton of respect for what they’re doing and, with Chris and Tony involved, it’s a show that has the attention of hardcore racers. Our readers are racers to the core, so we’re eager to inform them about the exciting news surrounding IMIS.
“We’re going to put together a tremendous show directory for the inaugural show and keep our readers updated throughout the year about what’s happening with IMIS. This show is a must-attend.”
More than 350 booths have already been booked for IMIS, but for racing companies and people interested, there is limited space still available. For details on how to be a part of the show, visit www.imis-indy.com.
