Press Release
“We’re excited about the new schedule,” Daytona International Speedway President Robin Braig said. “By moving Daytona 500 Qualifying Presented By Kroger to Saturday, we are providing even more value to our race fans, who can now enjoy a unique racing tripleheader as well as all the festivities surrounding the Super Bowl the following day.”
Daytona 500 Qualifying Presented By Kroger, which is traditionally scheduled on the Sunday prior to the Daytona 500, will kick off activities on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 1:05 p.m. on FOX, followed by the season-opening Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 for the ARCA Racing Series at 4:30 p.m. on SPEED, and the Budweiser Shootout at 8:10 p.m. on FOX.
Tickets for Saturday’s tripleheader start at $40 and will include all of the day’s events.
During Daytona 500 Qualifying Presented By Kroger, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers will turn two high-speed laps around the historic 2.5-mile tri-oval in search of the pole and outside pole for the Daytona 500.
The 47th annual Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 kicks off the ARCA Racing Series season and showcases the future stars of racing in a 80-lap, 200-mile battle on the 31-degree high banks.
The Budweiser Shootout, the non-points All-Star event that features the top NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers from each manufacturer, will start at 8:10 p.m.
Tickets for all the events are available online at www.daytonainternationalspeedway.com or by calling 1-800-PITSHOP.
