KANSAS CITY, Kansas (9-29-2009) – Miami Springs, Florida driver Joey Coulter will be getting a double-dose of racing action this week and on into the weekend. His first stop will be at Kansas Speedway for ARCA RE/MAX Series competition before continuing on to Martinsville Speedway for NASCAR Whelen All-American Series competition.

“This is going to be an action-packed week for Coulter Motorsports, and I’m looking forward to competing in both events,” stated Coulter on his double-duty week. The Kansas Lottery 150 is race 20 of 21 on the ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. Following that will be the Bailey’s 300 at Martinsville Speedway.

The rookie of the year contender participated in an open test session at Kansas nearly a month ago, rounding the 1.5-mile track in 32.437 for an average speed of 166.477 miles per hour.

Coulter is looking to improve his time trials with the second trip to Kansas. “Since the test we’ve fixed some things on the racecar and, hopefully, we’ll come back Thursday and get a good qualifying lap, have a good clean consistent run, and be there in the top-five when the checkered flag waves.”

In the last two 1.5-mile appearances at Kentucky and Chicagoland Speedway, Coulter finished seventh and sixth, respectively.

The Kansas Lottery 150 will be a one day show for the ARCA RE/MAX Series with practice scheduled for Thursday, October 1 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m., followed by Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell at 1 p.m. The Kansas Lottery 150 is scheduled to roll off at 4 p.m. All times listed are Central. The Kansas Lottery 150 will be aired LIVE on SPEED at 5 p.m. Eastern.

The Bailey’s 300 is a three day show for the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series with most of Friday scheduled for technical inspection. On Saturday, October 3 teams will have two hours of practice beginning at 9 a.m. Time trials are set for 1 p.m. with the fastest 22 cars earning berths in Sunday’s 200-lap feature.

On Sunday, the first of four 25-lap heat races will begin at 12:30 p.m. The top five from each heat race advance to the feature, filling out the 42-car field. The 200-lap feature race will begin at 3 p.m.
