IndyCar owner-driver Sarah Fisher has picked up a second major sponsorship deal in a week, having successfully concluded negotiations with Direct Supply to back her Indianapolis 500 campaign and selected other IRL events in 2009..

As a result, Sarah Fisher Racing will be sponsored by the Milwaukee-based company for all five remaining races on her calendar this year, adding to the major backing of Dollar General. Direct Supply’s investment is believed to be in the region of $900,000 over the course of 2009.

“Direct Supply is proud to be involved with IndyCar racing as a part of our long history with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” said chief executive Bob Hillis, “We are especially proud to be sponsoring Sarah Fisher, who our whole company has rallied around as the first woman-owned team in Speedway history. Sarah is such a warm-hearted, caring person, and has captured the hearts of all of the Direct Supply partners and so many racing fans around the country.”
