Kevin Hamlin Qualifies 14th for Saturday’s O’Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway
Press ReleaseFort Worth, Texas (April 2, 2009) – Kevin Hamlin in his second start of
the 2009 season in the No. 81 D.H. Griffin Dodge qualified 14th for
Saturday’s O’Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway with a lap time of
29.227 (184.761 mph). Hamlin’s qualifying time was -0.542 off the pole
sitter.
Making his second start of the 2009 season for MacDonald Motorsports,
Hamlin was pleased with the entire day, “It’s good to rebound from the
tough weekend we had at Bristol with a good day in practice and a good
qualifying lap today. I really appreciate the effort, hard work and long
hours the crew put into the D.H. Griffin Dodge over the last two weeks. I
look forward to getting back on the track for the race on Saturday.”
Following practice, the MacDonald Motorsports crew made few changes in the
garage. “We just put the D.H. Griffin Dodge in qualifying trim and Kevin
did the rest,” said David Ingram, crew chief for the No. 81 Dodge.
The O’ Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway will be shown live on ESPN2 on
Saturday April 4 with green flag coverage beginning at 2:30 p.m. (ET).
