MONROE, N.C. (Wednesday, April 8, 2009) - For Kenny Wallace, Team U.S. Border Patrol, and Jay Robinson Racing, the site of this weekend’s Nationwide Series race at the Nashville Superspeedway marks a milestone event: the year anniversary of the first race in which Wallace first took to the track in Team Border Patrol’s signature green-and-white No. 28.

The results have been impressive in their year together, and the beginning of this season has seen more of the same. Currently sitting eleventh in the drivers point standing going into the race, Wallace notes that is an accomplishment Team Border Patrol can take pride in.

“I am so excited that we’ve reached the goal we set out at the start of the year,” Wallace said. “Our goal was to be in the top-15 in points when we rolled into Nashville, and we’re eleventh. That’s awesome, and I can’t tell you personally what that means to me.”

And there’s nothing more Wallace would like than to solidify Team Border Patrol’s position in the Nationwide Series with a strong run at Nashville. Historically, the track has been one of Wallace’s strengths, as the St. Louis, Mo. native has notched a pair of second-place results to go along with four other top-15 finishes in just eleven starts on the 1.333 mile track.

“I have a lot of confidence going into Nashville,” Wallace said. “We know what we need there to run well. I’m looking forward to seeing how our U.S. Border Patrol Chevy performs.”
