Notes of Interest:

· Vickers is back! Can you believe it has been since Las Vegas (February, 28 2009) that we last saw BV in the signature yellow of Dollar General!

· Previous Talladega winner… Vickers visited Talladega Superspeedway’s victory lane in October, 2006, earning his first Sprint Cup Series win.

· Talladega Stats: Vickers has only two Nationwide Series starts (2003 and 2006) and after a three-year NNS hiatus at the high-banked speedway, is ready to drive the No. 32 Dollar General straight to victory lane! Vickers has one top-five start, one top-five finish (both April, 2006) and has led 15 laps around the 2.66-mile speedway.

· More Dega statistics… He also has nine Sprint Cup starts at Talladega: four top-10, three top-five finishes, one win and has led 54 laps.

Brian Vickers on superspeedway racing and Talladega:

“I have had a few weeks off from racing with the Braun guys and I am glad to be back! Burney did well and kept the car up in the points. Now, it’s time for Talladega, where anything goes and probably will. We had a great Dollar General Toyota in Daytona and, even though this is a little bit of a different beast, I think we will still be very strong. I love running the restrictor plate tracks. We drivers say it time and time again, but it truly is a 200-mile-an-hour chess match. You just have to know when to make your move and cross your fingers that someone goes with you!”

Equipment Information

The No. 32 Dollar General team will compete with chassis #BR005 in this weekend’s Aaron’s 312 at Talladega Superspeedway. Chassis #05 was last seen at Talladega (April, 2007). Dave Blaney qualified the car in the second position for the Aaron’s 312. Chassis #05 has been dutifully serving as an untouched superspeedway back-up car since its 2007 run, patiently awaiting a return to the track.
