Kenny Wallace, Team Border Patrol Ready For “Monster Mile” This Weekend
Press Release
Advertisment

MONROE, N.C. (Tuesday, May 26, 2009) - After securing their sixth top-20 result in eleven races this season, Kenny Wallace and Team U.S. Border Patrol will be turning their attention toward the “Monster Mile” for this Saturday’s Nationwide Series event at the Dover Int’l Speedway.

Among the most daunting races on the calendar, the Monster Mile’s one-mile, concrete layout gets the best of many drivers and teams. Wallace has seen incredible consistency at the tough track, however. In 25 Nationwide Series starts, Wallace has finished outside the top-20 just three times. He also has eight top-10 results at the track, so it’s evident Wallace knows his way around the track.

“Dover is a track that’s been on the schedule a long time,” the St. Louis, Mo. native said. “It’s gone through a lot of changes, but it’s a fun place to race.”

Wallace noted that he’ll be looking forward to keeping this season’s theme of solid results in his No. 28 U.S. Border Patrol car as his team focuses in on Dover.

“We’re looking to keep up the consistency that we’ve had going with our U.S. Border Patrol team,” he said. “We always want to do better than last time, and we’re doing better each time than we did before. We just want to keep improving.”

Wallace, Team Border Patrol, and the Nationwide Series will take to the track in the Heluva Good! 200 at Dover on Saturday, with live coverage presented by ABC beginning at 2 p.m.
