Advertisment

Joey Logano hasn’t been racing full-time in the Nationwide Series this year, opting to focus his attention on his Sprint Cup ride instead of making several cross country trips to run both on Nationwide stand-alone weekends.

This weekend, however, will be an exception. Logano will be traveling back and forth between Michigan International Speedway and Kentucky Speedway for Saturday’s Meijer 300 at Kentucky on Saturday night. After all, the 2008 Meijer 300 was where Logano captured his first career Nationwide Series win in only his third start. He’s the defending winner of this event.

Also on hand will be Logano’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Kyle Busch. The Meijer 300 will be the first Nationwide race that both Logano and Busch will compete in since their late race incident at Dover a couple of weeks ago. - Full Story by Amanda Vincent – Louisville NASCAR Examiner
