Nemco Motorsports’ Kevin Conway shakes off jokes about his team’s sponsor
Caught in the Catchfence™In fact, Conway has to watch what he says in public, simply because the sponsor is ExtenZe, a male enhancement product.
“The puns are endless,” Conway said. “We find ourselves all the time laughing and trying so hard not to accidentally say the wrong thing because it can come out all wrong.”
Conway has a five-race deal with ExtenZe and Alteril, a sleep aid, and Saturday’s Meijer 300 is the third of that sponsorship. Conway approached Nemco owner Joe Nemechek about the sponsorship, and since Nemechek is trying to get his Sprint Cup team running better, the timing couldn’t have been better.
“It was really kind of a last-minute deal,” Conway said at Kentucky Speedway. “Joe’s been a fixture in the Nationwide Series for a long time with the 87. This year, with them not having any sponsorship and him trying to get the Cup deal going, it just kind of worked out for us to all work together.”
