Press ReleaseJimmy John’s Invites Local Businesses to Enter to Win
CHAMPAIGN, IL. (June 16, 2009) – Thousands of business people in the St. Louis-area get a freaky fast, freaky good sandwich from Jimmy John’s every day. And, while they are regularly impressed with just how freaky fast the sandwiches are made and delivered, one lucky business will soon find out the real meaning of speed when they get a surprise delivery from two-time Nationwide Series champion and driver of the No. 33 Jimmy John’s Chevrolet, Kevin Harvick. Here’s how it works…
Starting on June 8, employees at St. Louis-area businesses who are passionate about Jimmy John’s and NASCAR can make a pit stop at www.JimmyJohns.com/Kevin to enter for a chance to win the Freaky Fast Kevin Harvick Delivery. All they have to do is submit a photo and 140-word or less caption that somehow demonstrates that passion for Jimmy John’s and NASCAR. As with all things “Jimmy,” creativity, a sense of humor and an ability to satisfy that “need for speed” all count.
“Jimmy John’s is proud to sponsor Kevin Harvick this year in his race to be the best, and we wanted to take the sponsorship to the next level by rewarding a community that has shown a great level of support for both Jimmy John’s and NASCAR,” said James North, president of Jimmy John’s. “With thirty locations in the St. Louis-area, it was a no-brainer to reward a St. Louis business with this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!”
Here’s what the winner receives…
On July 16th, the winning business can expect the delivery of a lifetime! Delivering in freaky fast Jimmy John’s style, Harvick will speed-up in his No. 33 Jimmy John’s Chevrolet to deliver sandwiches and prizes, including a meet-and-greet with Kevin, autographs, tickets to an upcoming race at Gateway International Raceway and Jimmy John’s gear.
“Jimmy John’s and the number 33 car are a perfect fit since we’re both freaky fast,” said Kevin Harvick, Kevin Harvick Inc. co-owner and two-time Nationwide Series champion. “I am very excited to take to the streets as an honorary Jimmy John’s delivery driver to surprise a local St. Louis business. I just hope I don’t get in trouble for eating on the job.”
Employees of St. Louis area businesses can enter the contest and find official rules at www.JimmyJohns.com/Kevin.
