New Hampshire Recap:

- Eric McClure started the race in 41st position and finished 33rd after a mechanical failure occurred on lap 182.
2009 Nationwide Series Finale of Superspeedway Racing:

- This weekend, the 30-year-old Virginia driver will compete in his 87th career Nationwide Series event and his seventh at Daytona International Speedway.

- Prior to February’s finish of 26th, McClure had a top finish of 32nd at DIS after a late race crash ended his chance for a top-10 finish while driving for Phoenix Racing in 2005.

- In six starts, McClure has completed 88.2% of the laps and has only suffered one DNF.

Chassis # 47:

- The Emory and Henry College graduate will once again pilot chassis # 47. It was used previously at both Superspeedway races this season (Daytona and Talladega)

- This chassis allowed McClure to get his best finish at the 2.5 mile track (26th).

- This chassis has proven successful for RHR as it has a best finish of 3rd which came in 2008 at Talladega.

Daytona Favorites:

Daytona Beach, Florida has always been a popular vacation spot for the Hefty® Racing™ driver. As a child, McClure would be present as the McClure family vacation took place around the July Sprint Cup event. Now he uses this stop on the circuit to spend quality time with his own family. Over the years, the driver’s favorite spots, such as Crabby Joe’s Deck and Grill, haven’t changed and he will make sure he visits them again this week.

“It’s always fun to come to Daytona and race because we have great partners, Waverly Property Group and Crabby Joe’s, located in Daytona. I have a lot of memories in Daytona, both on and off the track, and it’s such a historic track and, of course, you have the beach if you want to make a vacation out of it.

We’ve had a tough group of races the last few weeks and are in need of a good finish. We were very strong in Talladega and competitive at Daytona before getting into a wreck late in the race. Our car should handle well in the draft so, hopefully, we will get the guys on the Hefty® Racing™ team a good result.”
