Joey Logano, No. 20 GameStop Toyota Chicago Race Preview
Press ReleaseMomentum can carry you to success at a track where you have no experience. Logano will draw on this when he visits the Chicagoland Speedway this weekend for the first time in his career. If anyone is equipped to run well at the Joliet, Illinois track right out of the box, it is Logano. In 19 career intermediate track starts, Logano has three wins, six poles, an average finish of 7.5 and has led 587 laps. Those are numbers that any veteran driver would be proud to own. When Logano gains the experience to go with his momentum, he will be very hard to beat.
Joey Logano Quotes“I can’t wait to get back in the GameStop Toyota. We’ve got so much momentum going on the Cup-side, I know we’ll be even better in these Nationwide races. Confidence means a lot in this sport. I’m very confident that we will continue to run up front and compete for wins. Dave Rogers and everyone behind the GameStop Toyota do an awesome job in preparing these cars each week and it shows when we hit the track. I’m just the lucky driver that gets to hold the steering wheel each week.”
“Chicago is a brand new game for me because this will be my first race there. We’ve had a lot of success on the intermediate tracks this year so I know the car will be fast. I’m sure the track has its own characteristics that make it unique and I’ll need to figure those out during practice. During times like these I can rely on my teammates, which is cool. They can let me know what to expect. When it comes to getting advice I couldn’t have asked to be in a better situation than here at Joe Gibbs Racing.”
