Signs Point to Jason Leffler Having Best Career Performanace at Chicagoland Speedway This Weekend

· Chicagoland Speedway Notoriously a Tough Track for Jason Leffler
Chicagoland Speedway is not on the list of Jason Leffler’s best tracks from a performance standpoint – in five Nationwide Series starts at the Joliet, IL track, Leffler has only one top-10 finish (2004). However, strong runs at other 1-5-mile tracks this season, including Las Vegas (4th), Charlotte (6th) and Kentucky (6th), could indicate that Leffler is poised to have his best career finish at Chicagoland this weekend.

Leffler’s run of 12 consecutive top-10 finishes ended last weekend at Daytona international Speedway after he lost third gear in the final stages of the race. Not to fear… Leffler and the Great Clips team are committed to jumpstarting a new streak – one that includes a couple of trips to victory lane. Leffler remains fourth in the standings, 121 points behind third place, Brad Keselowski.

Leffler will greet fans and sign autographs this Wednesday, from 5-6pm at the downtown Joliet Race Fan Rally. Look for him and the No. 38 Great Clips showcar at the Great Clips display!
“Chicagoland is a fast track with multiple grooves so it’s pretty easy to pass. You can run the high groove or the bottom groove and move around as much or as little as you need to based on how the car is handling. Generally, you don’t see a lot of cautions during this race so don’t be surprised if it comes down to fuel mileage and pit strategy in the end. The Great Clips team has grown stronger and stronger at these 1.5-mile tracks and we feel pretty sure that we can go in this weekend and be a top contender for the win in Friday’s Dollar General 300.”
