Driver Scott Lagasse Jr.’s Thoughts on ORP:

“This is one of those tracks that reminds me of the days when I first started my stock car racing career. It’s almost like you are going back to grassroots racing. There are no frills. Just a race track and I really enjoy that. There’s not any other track out there during our season that has a feel like ORP. It’s Saturday night racing under the lights at its finest and that’s something I really enjoy.”

One Response to “ Scott Lagasse Jr. / ORP Fast Facts ”
  1. Steve Wiley says:

It’s a real shame that Brad Keselowski took Scott out in a wreck at ORP.    Scott is fighting as hard as he can to stay with a top tier ride in the Nationwide Series. He was running third when Brad Keselowski punted him. Because Scott has not had a lot of strong finishes, he is being replaced by Denny Hamlin after this weekends race in Iowa. If you are a regular Nationwide Series viewer, you saw Scott lead several laps at Talladega ON THE START of the race. He usually qualifies pretty well within the top half of the field and most of the time he is able to work his way up through the field during the race unless Steve Wallace, Brendan Gaughan, Justin Allgaier, or Brad Keselowski decide that they can just push Scott off the track. Scott is a clean racer and he doesn’t play payback. He is a good racer who has won in ASA, ARCA and several other series. I hope the boy gets a new chance to prove himself and show that you don’t have to race dirty to win.
