Record Up for Grabs for Kyle Busch
Caught in the Catchfence™Kyle Busch is taking a commanding points lead to Watkins Glen this weekend in the NASCAR Nationwide Series as he attempts to set a record in the series.
Busch equaled a record set by Jack Ingram in 1983 last weekend at Iowa Speedway when he posted his ninth consecutive finish in the top two with a runner-up finish at the short track.
Now, he’ll attempt to be the sole holder of that record when he pilots the No. 18 Toyota in Saturday’s Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International.
Chances are that Busch will be able to pull off the feat. He finished second in this road course event last year and captured the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory at the track the following day.
Busch also earned road course victories last year at Infineon Raceway in the Cup Series and the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez in the Nationwide Series.
