Road Course Recap
- Eric McClure and his Hefty® Racing Team started the NAPA Auto Parts 200 in the 41st position and finished 22nd. This finish moves McClure to 17th in NASCAR driver standings.
First Night Race at AMS: Hoping for Improvement
- The Virginia native is set to make his 99th career Nationwide Series start and his third at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.
- McClure has suffered a DNF in both of his starts at AMS; a gear failure in his 2007 debut relegated him to a 37th-place finish, and an accident in 2008 resulted in a 33rd-place finish for the driver.
- The 30-year-old driver will pilot chassis number chassis # 35 this weekend at AMS; it was last used at Michigan International Speedway where it scored a 28th-place finish.

“I’ve thought about this race for a year and a half. This, by far, has been one of my least favorite places in the past. However, coming back with Rensi-Hamilton Racing, I fully expect to have a better weekend than I have at any previous race here. We’re still working to achieve goals we’ve set for ourselves this year and this is another opportunity for me to improve at a track that I’ve struggled at. I want our performance at these tracks to continue to improve, which will help us as we come out of the box next year.”
