Welcome, N.C.: Peyton Sellers and the #77 SFP Chevrolet will encounter one of the fastest tracks on the circuit this weekend when the NASCAR Nationwide Series arrives at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Degree V12 300.

The 1.5 mile quad oval has been known to post phenomenally high speeds, with the current track qualifying record set at just over 197 mph.

Sellers is coming off a strong qualifying performance at Bristol Motor Speedway two weeks ago where he threw down an 18th fastest time for the day. Although he is most at home on short tracks, the rookie has had experience at some of the series’ larger tracks this year including Texas and Charlotte where he finished 26th and 31st respectively.

“We’re looking forward to getting onto a larger track again and the opportunity to experience Atlanta is big for me personally. I wish we could have tested here first. It makes it tough for a new team, but we’re getting pretty good at figuring things out during practice,” said Sellers.

The race will be Cardinal Motorsports’ ninth of eleven planned races this year with primary sponsor SFP. The team also has an association with one of the country’s largest non-profit student organizations, SkillsUSA. They are also sponsored by Jig-A-Loo USA and Bosch, both of whom are supporters of SkillsUSA.
