R3 Motorsports officials announced Tuesday that driver Kevin Conway has signed with the NASCAR Nationwide Series team and will make his debut in the No. 23 Chevrolet at Kansas Speedway on Oct. 3.

Extenze will serve as the sponsor in a “multiyear deal,” the team said.

“We’re really excited to be bringing Kevin on board with us,” R3 co-owner Rob Fuller said. “Kevin’s a great driver, but he’s equally good with sponsors and fans. You want a driver who can help you win races but can also represent your team in a positive manner. Kevin does both of those things. Adding him just puts us one step closer to reaching our goal, which is to be one of the best teams in the Nationwide Series.”

R3 has fielded cars for five drivers this year: Robert Richardson Jr., Ken Butler III, Chris Cook, Jeff Fuller and Jean-Francois Dumoulin. The team is 28th in the Nationwide Series owner standings.
