Concord, NC- March 30, 2009- USARacing’s reigning Champion, Benny Gordon, announced today that he will compete in the Pro Cup Series season-opener, the Concord 250 on April 4, 2009.

As the 2008 Champion, Gordon is looking to keep his presence known in the Series. He plans to compete in selected Pro Cup Series events that do not conflict with his scheduled NASCAR Nationwide races. Gordon is looking to make his move into NASCAR while maintaining his presence and preserving his teams’ winning dominance in the Pro Cup Series.

The ultimate goal for Gordon is to have full sponsorship in 2010 to compete in NASCAR and to become a team owner in the USARacing Pro Cup Series with a development driver competing for him. If the right opportunity arises, the team may elect to compete with a development driver during the 2009 season.

Gordon, who recently announced that he would compete with Roush/Yates powerhouses, is confident that he will retain a winning presence in the Pro Cup Series.
