Mayfield, N.Y. (August 10, 2009): The last time the NASCAR Camping World Series East visited a road course, Dustin Delaney, driver of the No. 39 Delaney Infrastructure Chevrolet, was schooled by road racing ace Boris Said. This weekend, the 19-year-old driver is hoping that advice and guidance can be put to work at Lime Rock Park as the team eyes a top-five finish.

Said is a NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver and car owner that got his start in the series as a road course ringer. His prowess on road courses has made him one of the most sought after drivers at Watkins Glen. He also has a first hand knowledge of Lime Rock Park having driven there in the past in the Trans Am and American Le Mans series’ to a name a few.

“Boris gave me a lot of advice that is specific to Lime Rock Park,” said Delaney. “He’s been a big help to me, and I’m hoping that advice translates into a solid run this weekend. I’m really excited to get there and put it all to work.”

At Lime Rock last year, Delaney finished 22nd after late-race contact took him out of contention for a top-10 finish. He finished 11th at Watkins Glen earlier this year despite having to make an unscheduled pit stop to fix a broken shock bolt.

“We run good at the road courses, but we haven’t had the finishes that reflect that,” said Delaney. “We’re moving in the right direction and we’re all confident we can come out of there with a solid run. We just have to qualify up front and stay up there.”

The team is taking a car they purchased from DEI over the winter. It is strictly used for the road course events, and it’s the same car he finished 11th with at Watkins Glen.

“I like Lime Rock,” said Delaney. “The track is really fast and it’s a lot of fun to drive. I’m confident that Jamie (Aube) will put a decent car underneath me and I’m anxious to apply some of the tips that Boris gave me. The team has put a lot of faith in me and I’m not about to let them down.”

The NASCAR Camping World Series East takes the green flag on the Mohegan Sun 200 at Lime Rock Park on Saturday, August 15th at 1 p.m. eastern time.
