Mechanical Failure Ends Weekend Prematurely For Cory Joyce

Mooresville, NC (Nov. 23, 2009) - Sporting a fast race car for practice on Friday morning at Myrtle Beach Speedway, driver Cory Joyce was confident of his chances heading into the main event on Sunday afternoon. In his first appearance at the half mile speedway, Joyce was able to maneuver his car around the track in all grooves. He and his crew worked together throughout the practice sessions on Friday and Saturday morning to dial in the perfect setup for the 100-lap event. Joyce pulled out to qualify on Saturday afternoon and was surprised when the car felt completely different from earlier practice.
