Sarah Fisher Gives Away Indy 500 Showcase on Friday’s Price Is Right
Press ReleaseThe Price was Right for Contestant Who Drove Away in New Honda Insight Hybrid

“I was so worried she was going to go over on the amount of the Indy 500 showcase,” said Fisher, who introduced the package on Friday’s show, alongside current host Drew Carey. “Really, I think it’s hard to put a price on a getting the VIP experience at the Indy 500, but it was so awesome when she won. I was jumping up and down with her. I can’t wait to see them again on race day.”
Fisher launched the showcase by detailing the prizes in her official Dollar General racing uniform.
“Driving in the Indy 500 is serious business and there’s almost nothing more important than a good qualifying time,” Fisher said on the show that aired today at 11 a.m. EDT. “And that’s why I make sure my crew has the finest timepieces, like an Official Indy 500 TAG Heuer watch.”
After detailing the must-have items for those that wish to live in the fast lane, Fisher went on to reveal the trip to Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
“If you think it looks like we’re going pretty fast on TV, you should see the Dollar General car fly around the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in person,” continued Fisher, who qualified 21st for Sunday’s big race. “And you will, because you’re going to be there! If you win this showcase, you’re coming to the 2009 Indianapolis 500.”
And, the showcase wouldn’t have been complete without -a new car!
“After all the racing, you’re probably going to be inspired to do a little driving of your own,” continued Fisher. “And, I bet you’d like it to be a vehicle from the company that makes the engine in my racecar. This brand new 2010 Honda Insight hybrid.”
Fisher, then, closed her showcase with the famous words that have become a staple of the show.
“A fantastic TAG Heuer Formula 1 Indy 500 Chronograph, a trip to see the Indianapolis 500, and a brand new Honda. All yours, if The Price is Right.”
While Fisher was being featured on the show, she was making her last tour of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway’s 2.5-mile oval prior to taking part in the 2009 Indianapolis 500. Her father, Dave Fisher, said it best when he talked about Fisher’s opportunity this year.
“This is the best car you have ever driven,” said Fisher.
The 2009 IndyCar Series season continues May 24 with the Indianapolis 500 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The race will be telecast live in High Definition (HD) at 1 p.m. (EDT) on ABC.
