AFS Racing/Andretti Green Racing Husar’s House of Fine Diamonds 100 Post-Race Quotes Milwaukee Mile May 31, 2009
Press Release
The 2009 Firestone Indy Lights schedule resumes with their next race on June 20, at the Iowa Speedway.
J.R. Hildebrand, #26 AFS Racing/Andretti Green Racing Dallara/Firestone:
“(Romancini) had a really good car and he was doing a really good job with it. Having to run behind him the whole race, I started picking up understeer and wearing out the front tires and I just didn’t have anything for him at the end. With the lapped car on that restart, I didn’t really have a chance to try to jump him. But it was a great finish for the team. I have to thank the AFS/AGR boys, they’ve done a great job all weekend. I’m looking forward to the race in Iowa.”
Sebastian Saavedra, #27 AFS Racing/Andretti Green Racing Dallara/Firestone:
“It was close racing for sure. We knew at the beginning there were really strong guys starting up front. I wasn’t very lucky during one of the restarts, and I lost a few positions because someone spun out in front of me. From then on, I just needed to save my tires, concentrate on the race and work my way to the front. We had a strong finish and look forward to the next race in Iowa.”
