Sarah Fisher, Tony Stewart and John Andretti Race 4 Riley
Press Release“I’ve been apart of Race 4 Riley for many years and it always has a place on my schedule,” said Fisher, who will race a Kenyon Midget tonight at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, Ind. “A dear friend of mine is heavily involved with Race 4 Riley and has kept be abreast of all the fantastic events they put on to raise money for children. I’m happy to again be a part of this year’s event.”
Along with Fisher appearing at the event to sign autographs, her No. 67 Dollar General Honda showcar was on hand giving fans an up close view of an IndyCar Series racecar. Also appearing at the event was fellow 2009 Indianapolis 500 competitor and NASCAR driver, John Andretti, who along with Fisher and Stewart, signed autographs for fans.
This year’s event was the 13th year for Race 4 Riley, with Riley Hospital for Children serving as the beneficiary of all the event proceeds; raising over $1.4M since 1997. Admission to the event was free.
Fisher returns to her own race on Aug. 1 for the Meijer Indy 300 at Kentucky Speedway, where she holds the track record set in 2002.
