NEWS AND NOTES FROM THE WIX FILTERS LAP LEADER PROGRAM – NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES

· Kyle Busch and Tony Stewart (1-1) share the lead in the WIX Filters Lap Leader standings entering the March 1 Shelby 427 at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway.

· Matt Kenseth holds the record for most laps led in a race at Las Vegas, leading 146 laps in the 2006 Shelby 427.

· DID YOU KNOW? In 11 previous NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races at Las Vegas, the driver leading the most laps has scored six wins and 10 top-10 finishes, placing sixth or better in every race.

· DID YOU KNOW? The average finish of the driver leading the most laps at Las Vegas is 2.09.

· DID YOU KNOW? Ford drivers have led the most laps in seven of the previous 11 races at Las Vegas. 2005: Jimmie Johnson, 107 laps
2006: Matt Kenseth, 146 laps
2007: Jeff Gordon, 111 laps
2008: Carl Edwards, 86 laps

· The record for most lead changes at Las Vegas is 28 in 2007.

· The record for most different leaders at Las Vegas is 16 in 2007.

· The record for most cars on the lead lap is 30 in 2006.

· The record for most laps led by a race winner at Las Vegas is 123 by Matt Kenseth in 2004.

· The record for fewest laps led by a race winner is one by Jimmie Johnson in 2006.
