David Stremme on driving at Texas Motor Speedway
“Texas is a really great racetrack. It is really fast which makes it more exciting for the fans. We have really done well this year at the mile-and-a-half tracks which gives me a bit more confidence going into this weekend’s race. The track has a couple of years of rubber on it now so the top groove will be a place where you will see me all day.”
“(Crew chief) Roy [McCauley] has been working hard making these cars fast. We just need a bit of luck to show what we really have. Two weeks ago in Bristol, we had a top-five car, but a cut tire put us a lap down. In Las Vegas, we had a really fast car, but were caught in the pits when the caution came out. We are bringing fast cars every week, now we just need a bit of luck to get us the finishes we deserve.”
Roy McCauley on racing at Texas Motor Speedway
“Texas is one of the fastest places we race. You carry a lot of speed into the corners so the car has to be comfortable to drive. I know David [Stremme] really like going to these types of tracks. We just need to have a bit of luck to get the finish we deserve.”
