FORT WORTH, Texas (March 31, 2009) – Race fans were more than willing to wait four hours to get a deal of a lifetime for Sunday’s Samsung 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Texas Motor Speedway.

Fans flooded the Mobil 1 Lube Express in Grand Prairie as early as 8 a.m. Tuesday to get a package deal that consisted of an oil change, two complimentary tickets to the Samsung 500 and an autograph by NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Sam Hornish Jr. for good measure for only $29.60.

The Mobil 1 Lube Express crew was able to complete 72 oil changes in that noon-2 p.m. CT promotional window that included a special visit by Hornish Jr. as well as Texas Motor Speedway President Eddie Gossage. And one lucky fan had the special treat of getting this package for free with Hornish Jr. and Gossage helping service the oil change.

“I was told this was one of Mobil 1’s most successful events of this nature and it doesn’t surprise me knowing how many great NASCAR fans we have here in Texas,” Gossage said. “It was truly great to see the excitement on their faces over this deal and also for them to get a chance to visit with Sam. This was definitely a throw-back promotion and a lot of fun. I do, though, think I need to work on my oil change technique.”

Fans that missed out on this special event can still purchase tickets for this week’s NASCAR weekend featuring the Samsung 500 and Saturday’s O’Reilly 300 Nationwide Series race by calling (817) 215-8500 or visiting www.texasmotorspeedway.com.
