Martin Truex, Jr., Aric Almirola & Juan Pablo Montoya, 2009 Samsung 500 NSCS Race Previews
Press ReleaseTruex at Texas: Truex has one top-five and four top-10 finishes in seven career starts at Texas Motor Speedway. Truex’s best start at the track came in November of 2007, when he captured the pole for the Dickies 500. He went on to finish third in that event, a career-best for him at the facility.
Last Weekend: Truex brought the No. 1 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats Chevrolet home in the 29th position in Sunday’s Goody’s Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway. Truex is currently 28th in 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup standings.
Stop In and Say Hello: Truex and some special guests will be making an appearance at the Bass Pro Shops in Grapevine, Texas on Thursday, April 2nd from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. The store is located at 2501 Bass Pro Drive in Grapevine (about 25 minutes from Texas Motor Speedway) and can be reached at 972-724-2018.

Almirola at Texas: Almirola will attempt to make his first career NSCS start this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS). While he has yet to make an NSCS start at TMS, the young racer has three Camping World Truck Series starts at the track. He has garnered two top-10 starting spots and one top-20 finish in three Truck Series events.
Last Weekend: The No. 8 Guitar Hero Metallica Team came home in 37th position after battling tire issues in Sunday’s Goody’s Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway. Almirola is currently 37th in 2009 NSCS standings, just 27 points out of the coveted top-35.
Guitar Hero Metallica: Guitar Hero Metallica will again partner with Almirola and Earnhardt Ganassi Racing for this weekend’s Samsung 500 at Texas Motor Speedway. The game, which was released on March 29, allows users to enter the world of Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield, Kirk Hammett and Robert Trujillo and experience the intensity and skill of one of the greatest bands of all time. Shred on the guitar controller, rip on the drum kit controller and wail on the mic to a set list featuring over 45 explosive hits from Metallica’s illustrious career and a wide variety of other legendary artists personally selected by the band, such as Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band, Alice In Chains, System of A Down, Foo Fighters and Queen. Fans will be able to rock as Metallica while performing in venues reminiscent of the band’s epic album covers, themes from their music and real world locales.
Guitar Hero Metallica is being developed by Neversoft Entertainment for Xbox 360 and the PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. The Wii™ home video game system from Nintendo and the PlayStation®2 computer entertainment system versions are being developed by Budcat Creations. The game is rated “T” for Teen by the ESRB. This year in numbers: Montoya and the No. 42 team have finished four of the first six races with a Top-15 finish. The team has an average starting spot of 12.8 and finishing position of 17.3. They currently are 14th in both the Owners and Drivers Standings.
Texas NSCS History: Montoya will be making his fifth Cup start at Texas Motor Speedway (TMS) this weekend. Montoya’s best start of third was in Fall 2007 and best finish of eighth came in Spring of 2007.
Last weekend: Target driver Juan Pablo Montoya finished 12th in Sunday’s Goody’s Fast Pain Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway and moved up to 14th in the NASCAR Sprint Cup point standings.
In the Points: The fourth top-15 finish for Montoya in 2009 moved him to 14th in NSCS Championship Driver points, 31 points out of 12th and 286 behind point leader, Jeff Gordon.

CHASSIS INFO
No. 1 Bass Pro Shops/Tracker Boats Chevrolet (NSCS): Kevin “Bono” Manion decided to bring chassis #70. The chassis was last used for this year’s Kobalt Tools 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway, where Truex piloted the car to a 10th place finish.
No. 8 Guitar Hero: Metallica® Chevrolet (NSCS): The No. 8 team will bring chassis number #63 to Texas Motor Speedway.
No. 42 Target Chevrolet (NSCS): Chassis #903. This will be the second event of the year for chassis #903. Montoya raced this chassis in to an 11th-place finish in Fontana earlier this year.
