POPULAR SUNOCO PROMOTION IS BACK THIS SUMMER WITH THOUSANDS
OF FREE GAS PRIZES AND A CHANCE TO WIN 5,000 GALLONS OF FUEL

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (May 31, 2009) – Sunoco®, the Official Fuel of NASCAR, will kick off its fifth annual Free Fuel 5000 summer promotion on June 1st. The Free Fuel 5000 rewards loyal Sunoco customers with free gas prizes all summer long, through August 31st.

Consumers are encouraged to enter by stopping at one of over 4,000 participating Sunoco stations to pick up a free Sunoco/NASCAR decal and displaying it on their car – the same decal featured on every car in NASCAR. Sunoco will deploy professional spotting teams throughout the summer and, if a consumer is spotted with the decal displayed on their vehicle at or near a Sunoco station, they will instantly win a Gift Card for free gas. The spotting teams will reward up to 15,000 instant winners who will be automatically entered in the grand prize drawing for 5,000 gallons of quality gasoline from Sunoco. Consumers can win Sunoco Gift Cards again and again, every time they are spotted.
