Correction: Edwards’ Team Wins Tissot Pit Crew Award in Pocono
Press Release

The Tissot Pit Road Precision Award winner in Sunday’s (June 7) Pocono 500 Sprint Cup Series race was Carl Edwards’ No. 99 team, not Jimmie Johnson’s No. 48 team, which was previously reported due to an anomaly with a NASCAR scoring loop on pit road.

It was the first Tissot win of the 2009 season for the No. 99 crew, which helped Edwards to a runner-up finish in the 200-lap, 500-mile race at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway. Edwards’ Ford Fusion spent the least amount of time on pit road — 222.264 seconds.

Edwards’ over-the-wall crew consists of: Greg Donlin (front-tire changer), Jeremy Dyer (front-tire carrier), Brandon Hopkins (rear-tire changer), Jody Fortson (rear-tire carrier), Tracy Duncan (jackman), Joe Karasinski (gasman) and Norm Lowe (catch can). The team’s crew chief is Bob Osborne and the pit crew coach is Jesse Posey.

The No. 99 team will receive $5,000 for the pit road win. The team with the most Tissot Pit Road Precision Award victories at the completion of the 36-race schedule will earn a $100,000 bonus plus Tissot watches for the crew and driver.

Jeff Gordon’s No. 24 crew leads in the Tissot standings with three wins. Greg Biffle’s crew is second with two wins. Nine teams are tied for third with one win.
