Raybestos Rookie Joey Logano posted the 13th-best overall speed in today’s final practice session for the LENOX Industrial Tools 301. Logano will start 24th in tomorrow’s race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

YOU HAVE RAN CONSISTENTLY AMONG THE TOP-10 IN PRACTICE ALL WEEKEND. THE CAR MUST BE PRETTY GOOD. “I don’t think so. We were good at the beginning of practice. I think we tuned ourselves out or the track was changing, something was a little weird. I’m going to talk to Zip [Greg Zipadelli, crew chief] now and see what those guys have to say and see what we can do to make it go a little faster.”

HAVE YOU FIGURED OUT WHERE THE BEST PLACE TO PASS IS HERE? “You’re going to have to get ‘em underneath ‘em I think. If you get to the high side you’re probably going to have ‘em beat but it’s tough to get there especially the way I’ve got both these cars kind of setup the same way.”

IT SEEMS LIKE YOU NEED FORWARD BITE FROM THE CENTER OF THE CORNER OFF. “You’ve got to have forward bite but then you’ve got to be able to turn. If you don’t turn then all your momentum is lost. It’s a balancing act.”
