SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. (June 29, 2009) – Daytona International Speedway President Robin Braig finally made good on his NBA wager with Auto Club Speedway President Gillian Zucker by flying an ACS Banner over the “World Center of Racing.”

Although Braig opposed the most popular online wager idea of jumping into Lake Lloyd, wearing a L.A. Lakers jersey following the Lakers NBA Finals Championship over the Orlando Magic, he did opt to don an L.A. Lakers jersey as he raised an ACS flag atop the flag pole at the World Center of Racing. Lakers fans around the world still hope that Braig will hold up his end of the deal by jumping into Lake Lloyd during his upcoming July NASCAR event.

Donning a Lakers hat, Zucker had a message for Braig: “’L’ isn’t for Lakers … ‘L’ is for loser.”

In addition to Braig jumping into the lake, other suggested wagers for the series billed the West Coast vs. East Coast, Disneyland vs. Disney World and Auto Club Speedway vs. Daytona International Speedway included:

· the losing track president serving as an umbrella holder at the next winning tracks race

· painting the winning tracks logo on the infield grass of the losing track

· the losing track president singing the national anthem at the winning tracks next race

Up until the final buzzer of the final Championship game, motorsports fans submitted “wager ideas” on Facebook (search for Auto Club Speedway), MySpace (MySpace.com/AutoClubSpeedway) and Twitter (ACSupdates).
