Menard on racing at Daytona International Speedway:
“We had a really fast car at the Daytona earlier this season. Doug (Yates) and all the guys at the engine shop do a great job of getting every bit of horsepower out of those restrictor-plate engines. It’s great going to a track knowing that you are a going to have a good car right off the truck. The guys have been working really hard on getting our Daytona car ready for this weekend and based off some of the things we saw and learned at the Goodyear tire test earlier last month, we should have a pretty competitive weekend in our No. 98 Johns Manville / Menards Ford Fusion.”
Crew Chief Larry Carter on racing at Daytona International Speedway:
“We had a tough race last weekend in Loudon, but the guys did a great job on pit road and when we had to come back to the garage to fix up our car. We overcame a lot of setbacks and only lost a few laps. Needless to say, I hope we don’t have to overcome any setbacks in Daytona. We have a great superspeedway program and a great engine under the hood, so it should be a good weekend if we can just avoid the wrecks out there.”
