NOTES:

Speed scored a 15th-place finish and claimed Raybestos Rookie of the Race honors for the fifth time this season.

SPEED: YOU HAD A SOLID NIGHT AT A TOUGH TRACK. “We had a great weekend. We made good decisions we made good changes on the car and we had a really good car for the whole last 150, 200 laps of the race. I mean, it was great. We had to work to get that lucky dog twice and we raced guys really hard. When you’re out there racing guys like Carl Edwards, I consider myself now you know a lot closer to an equal to these guys now. It’s great to come back to these tracks a second time with that experience and it’s really paying off for all of us. We played this race really well. We all did a great job here this weekend. I’m sure we gained a lot of points here so that’s good. I’ve got to go celebrate with my man KB [smiles].”

JIMMY ELLEDGE, CREW CHIEF, No. 82 RED BULL TOYOTA: “At a place like this it’s really tough. To have a car in one piece at the end of this thing and on the lead lap and in the top-15 sounds easy, sounds like a mediocre day but it’s really a lot of work. I’m really proud of all the Red Bull guys they did a terrific job. We had a solid weekend from start to finish and you’ve just got to start doing that and do it again and again and again and just keep building on it.”

COMMENT ON THE DOUBLE-FILE RESTARTS HERE AT BRISTOL. “It’s definitely a little bit different twist. I think it’s probably one of best things they’ve ever done for racing. It makes the racing a ton better. It gives you the opportunity that when you are the last car on the lead lap that you are at least lined up with half the field because you’re side-by-side with ‘em. If you’re 22nd at least you’re in the 11th row now instead of in the 22nd row. That’s a great rule. It definitely can create a little more havoc so it makes it a little more nerve racking for us as teams but at the end of the day we’re here to put on a good show for the race fans and it definitely does that.”
