DOVER, Del. – Two of the sport’s most well-known personalities will join one of NASCAR’s most colorful drivers in what has become a star-studded lineup for fans in the Monster Mile Club on Sunday, Sept. 27 at Dover International Speedway. Rusty Wallace, artist Sam Bass and driver Kyle Busch will all participate in a hosted question-and-answer session exclusive to Monster Mile Club ticket holders.Fans that want to purchase tickets to the highly popular pre-race hospitality option will have to act fast. The deadline to purchase the Monster Mile Club package by calling 800-441-RACE is Friday, Sept. 11 at 5 p.m., and those who wish to purchase online at DoverSpeedway.com can do so until 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 13. Admission to the Monster Mile Club costs $99 and can be added to any Sept. 27 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race ticket.
A ticket to the Monster Mile Club also includes a trackside tour on the frontstretch of the track as teams prepare for the Sunday race, live entertainment, an unlimited food buffet with beverages, a special Dover souvenir gift, a souvenir program, interactive games and much more.
Wallace, the 1989 NASCAR Sprint Cup champion, can be seen on NASCAR on ESPN’s coverage of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series. A three-time Dover winner, Wallace ranks eighth on the all-time NASCAR victory list and was named one of NASCAR’s 50 Greatest Drivers.
Bass, NASCAR’s first officially licensed artist, is known for his creative designs and artistic output that brings his passion for motorsports to life in the form of artwork. With more than 25 years experience in NASCAR, he has many interesting stories to share. Bass’s work will be featured on the cover of Dover’s Sept. 25-27, 2009 souvenir program.
Busch, driver of the No. 18 M&M’s Toyota in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, is currently battling for a spot in the “Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup.” The Joe Gibbs Racing driver is also in hot pursuit of his first NASCAR Nationwide Series championship and leads Carl Edwards by 221 points with nine races to go.
The Monster Mile Club opens at 8 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 27 with a continental breakfast. Trackside tours begin at 8:30 a.m. and separate question-and-answer sessions with Busch, Wallace and Bass will follow later in the morning. An all-you-can-eat lunch will be served at 11 a.m. prior to the start of the AAA 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, scheduled to take the green flag at 2 p.m.
