Greg Biffle, 2009 Price Chopper 400 NSCS Race Preview
Press ReleaseBiffle on Kansas: “Kansas is a unique track that I have always enjoyed racing at. I think I enjoy it because I’ve run well there for whatever reason. We finished third there last year and had a win there
in 2007 so we know we can get to victory lane there. We’re only lacking in corner speed but that is what is keeping us from a win so until we figure that out, it’s going to be a battle. Last weekend in
Dover looked like we had a solid top-five finish ahead of us and it just didn’t work out that way so we really need to figure it out this weekend.”
Erwin on Kansas: “We’re taking a brand new car to Kansas this weekend. It was built with Kansas in mind and it worked out that it was finished in time to take this weekend. Greg has a pretty good record at Kansas and it would be great to get back into victory lane there. Even though Kansas is a mile-and-a-half track, it’s pretty unique. You could say it’s a little like Texas but you really have to go there without comparing it to another track. We were more than disappointed with our run at Dover last weekend so a good run at Kansas would be great for this 3M team. The crew keeps giving a consistently outstanding performance in the pits, so if we can just get the cars figured out, we’ll be all set.”
Notes:
- Following a 13th-place finish in Dover, Biffle remains ninth in the point standings..
- Biffle has four top-five finishes in seven starts with an average finish of 9.9.
- In last year’s race at Kansas, Biffle struggled with an ill-handling car for the majority of the race but after several adjustments the handling improved and Biffle was able to pass Jeff Gordon on the last lap for a third-place finish.
- Fans can tune in to Biffle’s radio show “Straight Talk with the Biff” on www.gregbiffle.com Monday nights at 9 p.m. to enter to win two tickets to the 2010 Sprint Cup banquet in Las Vegas. More information is available at the website.
