San Bernardino County, Calif. (Oct. 7, 2009) – Despite a beaten economy, race fans in Southern California have found ways to make seeing their favorite NASCAR drivers a reality. And Auto Club Speedway is making a conscious effort to help out.
Auto Club Speedway has offered California race fans tickets at almost every price point in an effort to make the trip to Auto Club Speedway more affordable. From tickets starting as low as $35 to special promotions such as the “$35 All Day Food Fest” package, packages to celebrate Hendrick Motorsports 25th Anniversary with Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.; a ticket deal to see the stars of NASCAR and the stars of TNA Wrestling’s Bound for Glory 2009; the chance to get up close and personal to Jimmie Johnson and so much more. Free Racefest admission on Thursday night and kids free on Friday and Saturday make it easy on fans who wish to attend the festivities surrounding the Pepsi 500.
“The crowd that shows up this weekend is a testament to the thousands of great fans in the state of California … and across the nation,” said Gillian Zucker, Speedway President. “Despite their hardships, race fans are finding ways to be part of the NASCAR family and we thank them for their continued support of Auto Club Speedway.”
Area race fans, who have endured foreclosures and unemployment over the past two years, will show up by the thousands to cheer on their favorite drivers at the Inaugural Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup race Oct. 11 at Auto Club Speedway – the Pepsi 500.
