The Sprint Cup Series travels to Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calif., for Sunday’s Pepsi 500, the fourth race in the 2009 Chase for the Sprint Cup.

Carl Edwards is among the drivers who gained at least a spot at Kansas last weeked. He moved up one spot to 10th in the points standings, but he’s still 165 points out. However, he’s only one point behind ninth-place Ryan Newman. Edwards feels good about the progress his team has made.

“The whole team was fast at Kansas and if we can apply some of what we learned there, we’re going to go to California and be aggressive,” he said. It couldn’t come at a better time.” - Full Story by Amanda Vincent – Louisville NASCAR Examiner
