KASEY KAHNE (No. 9 Budweiser Dodge Charger)

“Our lap was OK in our Budweiser Dodge. I over drove Turn 1 and kind of screwed that up. I think that I was decent in (Turns) 3 & 4. I felt pretty competitive there. We picked up from where we were in practice
and that will get us a little bit better. It’s still not going to be much of a lap.”

DAVID STREMME (No. 12 Penske Racing Dodge Charger)

“We were a little tight compared to the last run in practice. I think that should be a better effort than last week. Last week hurt us with the qualifying draw, but I think it will be fine. I think that we have a good race car.”

SAM HORNISH, JR (No. 77 Mobil 1 Dodge Charger)

“The car was pretty good, the driver just screwed up a bit. I was a little bit free coming off of Turn 4 to start my run and then I just drove it into (Turn) 1 just a little bit too deep and as soon as I touched the throttle, it got free again. The Mobil 1 Dodge was just a little bit on the free side. I kept us from being about two-tenths quicker. Another learning thing for me, that’s for sure. What’s good about these days is that when you have a good car to start off with, I feel that we have an opportunity to start in the top 10, but I overdrive it a bit too much. The more we do this, the less that I feel that I have to get every little bit out of it every time that we go out there. The more that we have cars like this, the more that I’m going to be comfortable going into qualifying and not feel like I have to overdrive it.”

ELLIOTT SADLER (No. 19 Stanley Dodge Charger)

“Just disappointing. The No. 19 Stanley Dodge was hitting the race track in the corner and the car wouldn’t turn the way we hoped it would. We’ll get back to work on it and do our best to make it better for Sunday.”

AJ ALLMENDINGER (No 44 Dassault Systems Dodge Charger)

“We got real loose coming to the green which hurt me a bit. Overall, I was happy with the lap. We made the car better from practice and it seems pretty quick in race trim. It’s just too bad that we got loose
because it really killed our RPMs.”

REED SORENSON (No. 43 Rosie’s Organic Chicken Dodge Charger)

“It was alright. We have a little different package this weekend that we’re trying out. I think that we were 19th in practice, but felt that our car was better than that to be honest. I just think we missed our qualifying setup a little bit today.”
