Greg Biffle, 2009 Ford 400 NSCS Race Preview
Press Release
to get there, it would be good to end this season on a high note. We know how to run well at Homestead and we have an incredible team. These guys deserve a win this season and I can’t tell you what it would mean to get it at Ford Weekend in Homestead.”
Erwin on Homestead: “We’re taking the car that we took to thesecond Dover race and both Pocono races this season. We had high expectations for a good run at Phoenix and it didn’t go that way for us. We’re working very hard back at the shop to figure out what we’re missing. Biffle has an incredible record at Homestead with his three wins in a row so we know he can get it done if we can give him a fast racecar. Just like most every other week this year, we need to qualify up front and stay there with good pit stops. If we can do that, the rest will be up to Biffle and we should be able to compete for the win. I would be nice to get one in the ‘W’ column this season and this is our last chance.”
Notes:
. Following a 14th-place finish in Phoenix, Biffle remains seventh in the point standings.
. Biffle went a lap down early in last year’s race at Homestead due to a pit road speeding violation but was able to race back into the top
10 before fuel mileage became a deciding factor.
. Biffle has an average finish of 13.4 at Homestead with three consecutive wins in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
. Biffle spent this week deep sea fishing off the coast of Florida in a charity fishing tournament.
